Freedom in Childbirth

In the not too distant past, most childbirth was done at home. An experienced midwife would attend and contribute to a peaceful and healthy birth. Over the years, this experience has almost vanished - being replaced by hospital births. Hospital births are far more intrusive, involve much more testing, questionable procedures, and not too surprising - MUCH HIGHER COSTS.
