IAHF List: Please read this important update from Kevin Annett who is receiving death threats and is being hounded in every way imaginable by the RCMP, mafia like corrupt native elements, and bill collectors as he and his wife are on the run trying to get this information out about the Canadian Holocaust which until now has been hidden from history. Please send them a badly needed donation so their phone won't be shut off this week (the 25th). Without a phone they're dead in the water, can't send email, look for work, communicate with the outside world. An effort is being made to destroy them, but we can't let that happen, we MUST help them get the truth out! The Codex battle we're fighing to defend out access to dietary supplements is not as far removed from Kevin's struggle as you may think. Its the same battle, the battle between good and evil. Please foward this widely, and join me in sending them an urgently donation!

Dear friends and supporters,

I hope this finds you all well.

With the launching last month of our website, containing the report "Hidden from History: The Canadian Holocaust", http://annett55.freewebsites.com/, a staggering number of requests have poured in for this report, and for advice about how to help our campaign to expose genocide against native peoples in Canada, past and present.

Aboriginal groups, students and educators, politicians, and "ordinary" citizens from Finland to Australia have written in their hundreds to help our campaign, and are part of our growing network to document ongoing crimes against humanity in our midst.

Because of this encouraging response, I am sending to you these thoughts about the goals of the Truth Commission and the practical activities and tasks that we envision over the next year.

1. PUBLIC EDUCATION: The most basic task is to get the "Hidden from History" report and website into the hands of as many people as possible, especially through the public library and educational systems. Please notify all of your email lists and organizations of the website:
http://annett55.freewebsites.com/

2. PUBLIC FORUMS: The next step is to hold public meetings to present the report and hear feedback and further evidence from the community, especially from aboriginal witnesses to genocide and the Canadian residential school atrocities. We have found that campuses, high schools and native gatherings are the most responsive places to host such events.

3. PUBLIC ACTIONS: The genocidal institutions which planned, committed and concealed mass murder of native people in Canada need to be confronted publicly. These institutions are: the federal government, the RCMP, and the United, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian and Anglican churches of Canada. We have found that public vigils and demonstrations outside prominent churches on Sunday mornings are very effective ways to do so, along with similar protests outside Indian Affairs, RCMP and other federal government buildings. Our Commission has published leaflets and other material for such actions which we can send to you.

4. MEDIA EXPOSURE: Despite the general media blackout and misinformation campaign around this issue, especially on the part of the state-funded CBC, there is occasional media interest in actions which name murderers, confront church leaders and otherwise create a public stink. Student and alternative newspapers and radio stations, native media, and local community papers have consistently covered our work where the mainstream press hasn't. Sending out letters and press releases to these will often bear fruit.

5. SPECIFIC CAMPAIGNS: In the coming year, we are mounting two specific campaigns which will highlight the ongoing genocide and confront the criminals: a) the revoking of the charitable, tax-free status of the aforementioned Canadian churches, on the grounds that such bodies have broken international and federal law by violating the terms of their charitable status, and by being complicit in the deaths of more than 50,000 native children, and b) the creation of public memorial sites and "aboriginal holocaust museums" across Canada, on the site of the residential schools. Such a move will not only be of great healing benefit to native people, but will force a response from both the churches and the state. For such a campaign will require that the hidden burial sites of the dead children be identified and that their remains receive a proper, traditional burial. The cause of death, numbers and identity of the murdered persons must thereby be disclosed publicly for the first time.

6. FUNDRAISING: A banal but necessary task. In many ways our work is half-dormant because of a lack of continual funding. The Truth Commission's monthly expenses presently total $1,200, but at least $3000 must be raised each month if the Commission is to become mobile, visit local native communities across the country, and thoroughly document the testimonies and evidence which continu to pour in from native eyewitnesses. Each of you should try to organize monthly pledges from interested persons and have all donations sent to this bank account:

(treasurer and signing officer, Pamela Holm)
ScotiaBank, Kensignton and Hastings branch, Burnaby, BC, Canada
Branch transit #50450 , Account #00238-84

Alternatively, cheques can be sent directly to:
6679 Grant St., Burnaby, BC Canada V5B 2K9 (made out to Pamela Holm)

7. DOCUMENTATION AND RESEARCH: There is a continual need to gather the testimonies and other evidence of survivors of the residential schools. This must be done only after such persons have invited and agreed to such documenting. Any statements taken from eyewitnesses need to be signed, dated, and witnessed, and sent to the address above. With the consent of the witnesses, they will be included in future editions of the report.

8. A WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL IN CANADA: This is one of our ultimate goals. The international community and press needs to assist in holding such a Tribunal to put the guilty criminals and their institutions on trial for crimes against humanity in Canada. All that we do needs to be focused on this goal.

I hope these suggestions will help you organize ongoing support for our work. I appreciate all that each one of you are doing, and I urge you to contact me directly to let me know how your efforts are going. Regular updates will be sent to you from our Commission.

With thanks, and in hope,

Kevin Annett
